Cancelo moved out of Manchester City for the second time on a loan spell ahead of the 2023/24 season as he joined Barcelona. Now the Portuguese full-back has expressed his desire to continue at the Catalan club, given that he idolises former Barca superstar Ronaldinho.

WHAT JOAO CANCELO SAID
Speaking to , the defender said, "I was lucky enough to play for only big teams. I am proud of my career because nobody has ever gifted me anything. I’ve conquered everything with sacrifice.
"I know nothing yet [about the future], but I’d like to stay here. I grew up watching Ronaldinho’s Barcelona. He’s my idol. I am proud to wear this jersey, and there aren’t other clubs I can join, right?"

Earlier, reported that Manchester City are likely to demand a transfer fee of €30m (£25m) to permanently sell Cancelo in the summer. Now the latest report claims that the Catalan giants are ready to negotiate a deal in the region of €15m (£13m/$16m) to €20 million (£17m/$22m) to secure his services permanently.
